The icy rain is coming down in Eastlake at this hour (8 a.m.). Streets look icy and empty.

Seattle Public Utilities says no garbage pick up today. Metro remains on snow routing.

Eastlake bridge potholes...
...just drove across the Eastlake bridge--the pavement on the north side is badly torn up in places--so if you're driving, be ready for nasty potholes.

The bridge's south side pavement is fine--the city repaved it recently; looks like they'll need to repave the north side soon.
